JCW is comprised of 16 en-suite, attractively furnished ground floor rooms which are comprehensively equipped.

All rooms have direct telephone lines and televisions with access to various Sky Television channels.

You are welcome to bring personal electronic devices such as mobile phones, iPads, and access to free wi-fi is available. A complimentary newspaper of your choice will be delivered to your room daily and a regular trolley service is available to purchase, sweets, drinks, magazines and basic toiletries.

We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our hospital, and we want our patients and referring GPs to make informed choices. We proudly publish our clinical performance and patient reported outcomes.

We are part of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust who are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This means we are required to meet a range of standards; this includes the quality and safety of treatment, cleanliness of the hospital, staff recruitment and training.

We encourage your family and friends to visit you whilst you’re a staying in hospital. We are flexible with visiting times; however, we often find the unit is very busy during the times of 9am – 11pm.  We also encourage protected meal times.

Meal times are as follows:

Breakfast 8am

Lunch 12 noon

Dinner 5pm

We undertake regular patient and visitor satisfaction surveys to ensure that we continue to provide the best care for you.
